If the keyboard doesn’t open when you click the icon on Mc tablets, the reason for that is that it is in Windows mode. When you turn the device into tablet mode, the keyboard will open in all areas on the device.
To put it in tablet mode, click the Notification button on the right side of the main screen and the Action Center will open. Click the Tablet mode as shown below.
