How to Define a Discount? What are the Types of Discounts?
Access the management panel via http://pos.simprasuite.com.
In the left panel, click on "System Settings," then the "Discounts" tab. The existing discounts are displayed in the opened area. Click the "Add Discount" button in the top right corner of the screen.
There are two types of discounts: "Simple Discount" and "Advanced Discount."
2.1) Simple Discount: A predefined or dynamic amount/percentage discount is applied. Also, a discount for a single menu item can be set in this area.
While in the Simple Discount section:
- Select the branch from the "Branch Settings" tab,
- Enter a name in the "Discount Name" field,
- Choose a preference and enter the amount in the "Percentage/Amount" section. If a dynamic discount (Open Amount or Open Percentage) will be applied, select the "Dynamic" field.
- If this discount will apply to specific menu items, select "Menu Item Discount" and specify the menu items.
- Click the "Add Discount" button to add the discount.
2.2) Advanced Discount: A discount is applied for a specific category or category class.
While in the Advanced Discount section:
- Select the branch from the "Branch Settings" tab,
- Enter a name in the "Discount Name" field,
- Choose a preference and enter the amount in the "Percentage/Amount" section. If a dynamic discount (Open Amount or Open Percentage) will be applied, select the "Dynamic" field.
- Select the category for which the discount will be applied.
- Click the "Add Discount" button to add the discount.
